    Job Type:

    This is a Full Time, Regular Employee position located in Lansing.

    Wage:

    From $ 15.00 To $ 22.00 per hour.

    Hours per Week:

    40

    Job Requirements:

    This job requires a high school diploma and 4 years of experience.

    Other Requirements:

    This job has some special requirements. Specific requirements: You must possess a private drivers license and provide your own tools.

    Additional Requirements:

    1. MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE MANUAL LATHE AND MILL.
    2. MUST BE ABLE TO SET UP AND RUN ANY JOB ON A SMALL TO LARGE MILL AND MACHINE IT WITHIN QUOTED HOURS.
    3. MUST BE ABLE TO CHECK WORK WITH A CALIPER AND MICROMETER.
    4. MUST HAVE 4 YEARS EXPERIENCE MINIMUM.
    5. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT UP TO 50# AND NO RESTRICTIONS ON CLIMBING OR WORKING IN HIGH AREAS.
    6. WE DO NOT NEED CNC MACHINISTS.

    1. MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE CRANES & FORK TRUCKS (CERTIFICATIONS)
    2. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITHIN QUOTED HOURS.
    3. MUST BE ABLE TO CHECK WORK, READ PRINTS AND FOLLOW WORK INSTRUCTIONS
    4. MUST HAVE 4 YEARS EXPERIENCE MINIMUM.
    5. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT UP TO 50# AND NO RESTRICTIONS ON CLIMBING OR WORKING IN HIGH AREAS.
    6. WELDING EXPERIENCE IS HELPFUL, BUT NOT NECESSARY.

    Project Engineer (Position Filled)

    Metalist International is a privately owned single location company looking for an experience Mechanical Engineer. This is a Full Time, Regular Employee position located in Lansing, Michigan.

    ·         Managing simultaneous major projects

    ·         Clearly convey concepts and willing to accept input from others

    ·         Attention for detail, Time management, Sense of Urgency

    ·         Specify scope of job

    ·         Look beyond the quote and identify challenging not included in original quote

    ·         Able to plan long term projects and layout a schedule 3 months in advance or more

    ·         Be flexible enough to allow for change in schedule of job when additional projects are accepted or scope is changed on existing projects.

    ·         Layout tasks

    ·         Break down objectives of a job into the steps needed for completion and instructions for machinists

    ·         Work with Machinists, Millwrights, Engineers, management and customers

    This is a job shop environment. Parts come in requiring cleaning, measurement to determine sizes, inspection to determine condition and ascertain if additional work is required. Ideal candidate will have experience with large crankshafts, gears, rams, flywheels, flywheel assemblies, etc.; knowledge of materials, common steel alloys and working steel suppliers. Make determination on order of tasks on job and priority among jobs. Responsible for tracking hours worked on project. Determine priorities relative to individual jobs and the shop overall. Assign tasks in order of priority to the most qualified personnel. Assist with scheduling of machinists, millwrights, welders & general labor. Responsible for laying out scope and working timeline for project and working with vendors.

    Hours per Week:              50

    Additional Requirements:            Must work some weekends. Averaging 50 hours per week or so depending on the project deadlines.
